Wedding Guest Etiquette

Dress Code

We kindly ask all our guests to dress formally and refrain from wearing full black or full white colours.

Arrive Early

Please arrive at the church no later than 30 minutes before the start of our ceremony. This is so all guest can be seated ready for the arrival of the Bride. 

Day Guests/Evening Guests

If we have requested the honor of your company for the full day, this includes joining us for our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. Unfortunately, due to venue capacity, we have had to make the difficult decision to limit our numbers for the full day. Therefore if you have received an evening invitation, please arrive at the reception venue at the time stated on your invitation.

Ceremony Seating Arrangements

When directed to take a seat at the church, please remain mindful that the front 2 rows on either side are reserved for our immediate wedding party. 

Phone Usage... 

Please DO NOT use your phones throughout our ceremony or wedding breakfast. We have a dedicated photographer taking our official photographs throughout our day and a sea of arms holding phones could ruin our official photographs. Everyone is welcome to take their own photographs after our first dance. 

Social Media... 

DO NOT upload any photographs taken throughout our evening reception to any social media platform until the day after our wedding. 

Wedding Breakfast Seating Plan... 

We have devised a seating plan which takes into account age, personalities, cultural differences and resembles the joining of our two families. Please DO NOT change your place name with someone else. We do not need the stress of people changing seats just so they are sat with someone else. 

Plus Ones & Children... 

Due to venue capacity, if your invitation does not include a plus one or your children, please do not assume the invitation extendes to them. Only the people named on the invitation have been invited. We do not need the added stress of refiguring our seating plan to accommodate extra people. If there are extenuating circumstances then please speak to us giving plenty of notice. 

RSVP...

Please select RSVP from the menu tab and complete correctly, changes closer to our wedding date cannot be changed. 

Announcements or Proposals... 

If you have a big announcement or proposal, do not ask us if it can be announced at our wedding. This is our day. You have 364 other days in the year to make your announcement. 

Have Fun... 

We understand that most of our invited guests will adhere to the above without hesitation but most of all we just want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves. We cannot wait to share our special day with you all...
